Fire Stations

Station 9 - 6260 E. 86th Street

Besides its complement of apparatus and firefighters, Station 9 is also the home of the department's administrative offices and maintenance department. The station was built in 1990. Prior to its opening, the administrative offices were at Station 17.

This station houses Engine 9, Tactical 9, Ambulance/Medic 9, Battalion Chief 3, EMS Duty Officer (340), Support 9, and Tactical Services Unit 9.

This station was renumbered from Station 331 on 1/12/2010 as part of the consolidation process with Indianapolis Fire Department.

 

Station 17 - 7139 E. 75th Street

 

This station was built in 1983 and was dedicated to Curt Justus. Curt was chief of CVFD during the 1960s and also served as Fire Prevention Chief. Station 17 was the previous home of the administrative offices of the department. This station's first due includes Lawrence North High School, Community Hospital North, and a large residential area. The station also covers I-465 from 56th Street to Allisonville Road, as well as Binford Boulevard/Indiana 37/I-69 from 65th Street to 96th Street. This station is the busiest in the entire township.

This station houses Engine 17, Aerial 17, and Medic/Ambulance 17.

This station was renumbered from Station 332 on 1/12/2010 as part of the consolidation process with Indianapolis Fire Department.

 

Station 28 - 10190 E. 86th Street

This station was built in 1988. It was named in memorial of David Edwards, who was both a volunteer and career member of CVFD and LTFD. He also served as EMS Division Chief. During a structure fire in 1988, he died when the floor beneath him collapsed.

This station houses Engine 28.

This station was renumbered from Station 333 on 1/12/2010 as part of the consolidation process with Indianapolis Fire Department.

 

Station 34 - 7620 N. Oaklandon Road

This station was built in 1992. It was originally built by the City of Lawrence and was originally manned by both City of Lawrence Fire and LTFD personnel. The township later purchased the station from the City of Lawrence and became Station 34.

This station houses Engine 34, Ambulance/Medic 34 and the Fire Safety House.

This station was renumbered from Station 334 on 1/12/2010 as part of the consolidation process with Indianapolis Fire Department.
