Welcome to the web site for the Lawrence Township Fire Department. This site is designed to both inform the public and keep our members updated on happenings in the department. We hope you enjoy your visit and if you would like any additional information, please contact us.
LTFD is a combination department, meaning that both career personnel and volunteers work together to provide fire, EMS, and rescue services to the community. Lawrence Township is in the northeast corner of Marion County, Indiana. Indianapolis, Indiana and Marion County have a combined city-county government, but fire protection is still delegated out to the township trustees. Lawrence Township also surrounds the City of Lawrence, but the City of Lawrence operates a separate fire department.
